Visualizing and designing interiors has always been an intuitive gift for designer/owner Kelly Vickers. As a child, it was nurtured by her grandmother Helen who taught her the satisfaction of making your own throw pillows, linens, and accessories to uniquely style Barbie's Dreamhouse.

After a rewarding career in criminal justice, Kelly relocated to Switzerland in 2014 and found design inspiration in both the majesty of the Swiss Alps and the practical, stylish, and sustainable design of Switzerland's houses and interiors.

Upon returning to Minnesota, Kelly founded Zimmer Design,  offering radically personalized designs, through true collaboration with her clients. Over the past five years, Kelly has delivered bespoke designs that have transformed houses across the Twin Cities and Wisconsin.

 

In 2023, Zimmer Design was a runner-up for Edina Magazine's "Best Interior Designer". The same year, Zimmer Design earned third-place at the Midwest Home Magazine Design Awards for small bathrooms. Zimmer Design's work has also been featured as the "Houzz Kitchen of the Week" on multiple occasions.
